NEPTUN (Northeastern Program for Teaching by Undergraduates) hosts two events every year in which Northeastern undergraduates teach free classes to high school students. “The point of the program isn’t necessarily to gain hard skills or learn a subject in depth. We want students to be excited about exploration, creativity, and everything that makes studying worth it.” There are a huge variety of classes being taught on all kinds of subjects, and you sign up for those which interest you. Past courses include “Beyond the Stick Figure: A Practical Drawing Class for the Artistically Challenged”, “Fermi Calculations: Using Estimation to Solve Ridiculous Problems”, or “Infectious Diseases — The Coming Plague.”

NEPTUN’s Splash event takes place every Spring semester.
NEPTUN’s Waterfall event takes place every Fall semester.
